Terms of Reference

  1. This Committee shall be responsible for facilitating efficient and effective communication on all matters of interest to pharmacists in Newfoundland and Labrador.

  2. This Committee shall have the responsibility of coordinating all media and public relations opportunities and activities on behalf of the Association in order to create a better-informed membership and public.

  3. This Committee shall have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of nine (9) members, one of which shall be a member of Council.

  4. This Committee shall be appointed by Council and shall be comprised of Regular Members of the Association.

  5. Appointments to this Committee shall be for two (2) year terms, and the Chair of this Committee to be appointed by Council.  Persons who serve on this Committee remain qualified for re-appointment thereto for subsequent terms.  Council may, upon failure of a member to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee without having reasonable cause, appoint a replacement member to service the remainder of the two-year term.

  6. Meetings of this Committee shall be called at such times as designated by its Chair.  This Committee shall meet at least on a quarterly basis; and shall be required to keep minutes of its meetings, which minutes must be submitted to Council within ten (10) days after the date of the last meeting.

  7. This Committee shall report to each Annual Meeting of the Association.
